Track Claude traffic

Claude referral traffic is a person who clicked through from claude.ai. Motif keeps that as first touch. When they subscribe in Stripe, Claude is the channel that earned it.

What counts as Claude traffic

A pageview whose referrer host is claude.ai. Source claude, medium ai_assistant, stored once on arrival.

Revenue, not citations

A citation with no click is invisible to a JavaScript tracker. Motif reports the people who landed, the ones who paid, and the net revenue in that cohort.

ClaudeBot stays off the channel chart

ClaudeBot and other Anthropic fetchers that hit /m.js or the collector increment AI crawlers. They are not visitors. HTML-only training fetches never reach Motif.

Is Claude traffic the same as ClaudeBot?

No. Claude traffic is a person with a claude.ai referrer. ClaudeBot is a crawler. Only the person can become a customer.
